Macy's 2020 Fourth of July Firework Show
6/27/2020 (Permalink)
Macy's 4th of July Firework show will still be taking place, but it will done differently this year, due to COVID-19. There will not be a single focal point, to avoid a lot of people gathering close to one another. The theme for this year's display is, MACY'S FIREWORKS - RE-IMAGINED. It will feature displays that will be unannounced in each of the five boroughs. They will not be giving exact locations, only information about specific points and very close to the actual moment when the show is about to happen. Each show will be approximately 5 minutes long. Everyone in the surrounding areas will be able to view the show from their homes, their own rooftops, nearby parks, etc. This was necessary to avoid people gathering together in large numbers, which could potentially cause the virus to spread.
